A woman has been arrest on suspicion of child abuse after a doctor conducting a routine checkup discovered a 2-month-old baby suffering from broken bones.

Police say a doctor at Children's Hospital in Omaha ordered an X-ray during the checkup. Results showed a fractured skull and broken bones in the baby girl's legs. Investigators say the injuries did not appear to have been caused by accidents.

Police say 18-year-old Nancy Roman later admitted that she caused the injuries sometime between March 10 and Wednesday.
