It seems to never end. The ongong attacks by "mothers" and the male haters like the leader of the breastfeeding mothers asscociation continually rage against any attempt when Father try to get some, any equal time with HIS own child/ren.

Needless to say that feminists and their ilk have equality as the "never" option whenever it appears that it may actually happen..

But as usual, female journalists never let a topic go if they add that special venom of personal experience and ofcourse that last person responsible or accountable could not possibly be her..

Folks, my sincere apologies for sending two email alerts within the same week. However it seems that The Australian is on a bizzare campaign to repeal Australia's current 'shared parenting' laws, and has today published 2 more articles on this matter, making it 4 stories in 5 days.

Again, there is ZERO attempt at balanced reporting where only one side is being reported, making it look like uncontested fact.

Some facts you may need to know:

(i) The journalist involved in the campaign "Caroline Overington" is a recently separated mother currently in the midst of an acrimonious separation. One may reasonably speculate from her behaviour that she seems to be in a rush to repeal these laws in time for her own custody hearing.
(ii) She has refused to respond to our emails, take our calls and has never published any of the information we have provided her on shared care.
(iii) We have written to the editor of The Australian repeatedly about the importance of balanced reporting with no response at all.
(iv) Judgments referred to in these articles are incorrectly portrayed, with serious and substantive omissions in reporting.
(v) No experts with differing views have ever been contacted much less reported on. There is a significant volume of information on the benefits of these laws to children, which is being completely ignored in these articles.
(vi) These articles emphasise an unhealthy attitude of mother's rights being of greater importance that a child's best interests. This message is worrying and unacceptable given he risks that children are already exposed to.

Read more comments about these articles and how they have mis-represented the facts about shared care in this country at the F4E Blog

This is an ugly misuse of the prestigious position of a journalist of an apparently reputable and supposedly balanced national newspaper.

More News - High Court Judge caught in Web of Deceit - 02-May-09

SUMMARY: Submission to the Australian Governor-General to remove Justice Susan Crennan from the High Court under S72(ii) of the Australian Constitution due to her failure to excuse herself from the hearing of Magill v Magill, a family law case on paternity and deception.

This request is made in regard to a clear conflict of interest given that Justice Crennan had a similar past to the respondent in Magill v Magill, whereby she had also given birth to two children by a man with whom she was not living with, whilst allowing her then de facto to believe that he was the father of the children.
